For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Mind Takes Form In The City

“The city is a fact in nature, like a cave, a run of mackerel or an ant-heap. But it is also a conscious work of art, and it holds within its communal framework many simpler and more personal forms of art. Mind takes form in the city; and in turn, urban forms condition mind.” - Lewis Mumford

The View From Above - sketches by Susan Rudat

one of my favorite flickr discoveries of all time is artist susan rudat, each of her drawings is a unique experience of form, movement & texture. although her style is almost eerily consistent its cartoonish look makes it comforting - but where cartoons lack detail, susan rudat's sketches are filled with it.

DoodleBrainz: First Issue, Out Now!

found these guys asking for submissions on craigslist one night - looking for doodles for the first issue of their e-zine featuring doodles - quick, seemingly mindless pieces of art that they believe are a little peephole into the subconscious and when viewed from a "macroscopic" view like in collections such as their own, they might provide some insight into the collective subconscious. anyway - i submitted and got a doodle featured on their cover as well as a few inside. check it out!
